Fabrication, Supply & Installation
Stainless Steel SS 304 / 316
NFPA-82 · BS 1703
All 7 Emirates, UAE
A linen chute (laundry / soiled-linen chute) is the fastest, most hygienic way to move dirty linen from every floor of a hotel, hospital or high-rise building down to the laundry room — without staff carrying loads through lifts and corridors. Promax fabricates, supplies and installs complete stainless steel linen chute systems across the UAE, engineered for cleanliness, fire safety and years of daily use.
We roll each chute barrel from austenitic stainless steel (SS 304 or SS 316) with continuous TIG-welded seams — a surface that resists the humidity, acids and alkalis found in soiled linen and wipes down clean. Systems are built to NFPA-82 and BS 1703 practice, with 90-minute fire-rated intake doors, door interlocks so only one floor can open at a time, a full-height roof vent and provisions for sprinkler and sanitising units.
Corrosion-resistant, wipe-clean stainless steel that stands up to damp, soiled linen and repeated sanitising in hospitals and hotels.
Fire-rated, self-closing intake doors with fusible links, meeting NFPA-82 and BS 1703 fire-safety requirements.
Only one intake door can open at a time; other floors show a "busy" indicator — preventing jams and cross-floor accidents.
Spiral expansion sections and optional isolation pads soften the sound of falling linen on guest and patient floors.
Optional flushing and disinfecting units keep the chute odour-free and hygienic between laundry collections.
Survey, shop drawings, fabrication, installation and commissioning — one contractor accountable from start to finish.
Housekeeping opens a side-hinged, fire-rated intake door on each floor and drops soiled linen into the stainless steel shaft. It slides through spiral sound-dampening sections into a hopper discharge that feeds a linen cart or trolley in the laundry / soiled-linen room. A full-diameter vent carries humidity and odours above the roof, while an optional sprinkler and sanitising line keeps the chute safe and clean.

A linen chute and a garbage chute are fabricated the same way — rolled steel barrels, spiral sections, fire-rated doors, roof vent and discharge — but they are tuned for very different jobs.

SS 304/316 barrels are rolled and TIG-welded, and the interlocked fire doors, hopper and vent are assembled in our workshop.
Sections are rigged into the shaft, slip-joined, aligned, braced to each floor and the intake doors fitted flush.
Vent, sprinkler, interlock and sanitising connections are tested, and the system handed over with a warranty.
